Idli is the breakfast window: offices, hospitals and coaching gates before Maggi takes over at noon. Steam, chutney and sambar fit a 75+ sq ft counter if you follow the SOP — not a tiffin-kitchen build.
Where idli fits the day
6–11am is idli + hot coffee + Very Tasty Chai. After that the steamer slows and Maggi, chai and cold coffee take the queue. Screening will say if your site is chai + Maggi only — a dead morning street should not carry idli waste.
What we do not put on the board
No samosa line. The kiosk is Very Tasty Chai, Maggi, idli, cold coffee and hot coffee. Jaggery premix is the shop special. Extra fried SKUs kill speed and hygiene in this format.
1-day training covers portions and costing for all five SKUs. Setup after agreement is typically 10 days.
What is the minimum investment?
The Standard 75+ sq ft kiosk is available at the limited-time Diwali offer of ₹1.7 lakh (regular ₹2 lakh). High-traffic pitches may use a ₹2.25 lakh plan.
Is there royalty?
No. Maa Ki Chai is a zero royalty chai franchise. You pay a one-time fee and keep 100% of profits.
Is idli at every outlet?
Where morning footfall justifies it. Screening will say if your site is chai + Maggi only.
Need a tandoor?
No. Steam, chutney, sambar. Same 75+ sq ft as Maggi and both coffees.
